Hi... I've just detached from a project (since I realized it's a "alpha test" project), and after checking the AppData\Boinc folder, I still can see 100MB in a directory with the name of that project but with the "symbols"...

So, why this? shouldn't boinc remove everything from a project when detaching from it?

Regards,

Leo

Normally, yes. It'll remove all from that project from the BOINC\projects\project_directory\ directory.

Symbols however... These get downloaded from the BOINC server when the application or BOINC itself crashes a lot. Which project did you detach from, if I may ask?

Hi. The project was Ralph@Home...

BOINC has crashed from time to time... but not boinc manager (well, a few times, when resuming work, coming back from screensaver); but mostly the applications crash from time to time...

So, should I get rid from those 100MB manually?

BTW, I have other directories with the "symbols" name...???

Regards,

Leo

If you detached from Ralph and still have its directory with the symbols sub-directory, then yeah, go ahead and delete. I'll ask the developer about that tonight.
