I am running Windows XP Home edition and have installed Boinc and Seti & Predictor with no problems. My setting is run always, internet always available. When I switch users, and then back to where I run BOINC, there is no response from BOINC. I then end the process The only way I can get it going again is to download BOINC - save it and install it and then everything is fine once more. Is one of my settings not right that is causing this? |

When installing boinc, you're prompted with three options; "single user", "shared user", and "service". Sounds like you picked "single user". It only works when the one user is logged on, Shared user may be more to your liking. Also, "Run as service" will mean Boinc runs even if NOONE is logged on. does this help? tony Boinc Wiki Sometimes I hate my Bob Newhart style of humor. |

Thanks for your help, Tony I tried "Run as Service" but I got an error message 1920 Service verify that you have sufficient previleges to start system services. I have set myself up as system administrator - is there some higher level Anyway, I reloaded the BIOC as a single user and everything works fine Wes |
