Why do I get this message. I am connected to the internet. My firewall allows boincmanager.exe to connect there is no entry for boinc.exe. Running Windows 7 Home Premium with 25/25 fiber connection. |

...there is no entry for boinc.exe... That's the problem. It's boinc.exe which connects to the servers, not the manager. Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. (Kleiner Scherz) ![]() |

Start->Control Panel->System & Security->Windows Firewall->Advanced Settings. In the Window that opens, Action->New Rule. - Program - This program path: C:\program Files\BOINC\boinc.exe or in case of 32bit BOINC on 64bit OS c:\program files(x86)\BOINC\boinc.exe - Allow the connection. - Check only Private when you only have a LAN connection. Also check Public when you use 3rd party WIFI connections (such as libraries, airports etc. on a laptop). - Name: BOINC client, Description can be whatever you want. --> OK. Done. |
