The ram usage keeps climbing as long as boinc is running. If I shut Boinc down the ram usage stayes steady and where it should be. Anybody got any Ideas? I'm running Boinc 6.10.58 Windows XP plenty of ram and 2.8 Gig duel processer. I've been running Boinc Seti,Einstein, milkyway,LHC for many years and never had this happen before. Anything will help Thanks MikeL |

Please use Windows Task Manager to find out which program(s) are using all this memory, and then post that info here. |

I suspect you're saying boinc.exe is taking up a lot of RAM, aren't you? This happens after a while and the developers can't put their finger on it why it happens. We've been testing with some people with a debug version of BOINC 6.10, and then it doesn't happen. Run the recommended version for long enough and eventually it'll take up all available RAM. The only workaround thus far is to exit BOINC and restart it, sorry to say. Not until the developers know why this is happening can there be a fix made for it. |
