My c: drive has run out of space due to files stored by Einstein@Home. How do I assign an alternate drive for BOINC to use for data file storage? Many thanks ... |

Un-install BOINC, and then re-install. On the 3rd screen, in the bottom right hand corner is a button labelled Advanced. Click this, and you'll get an additional screen which allows you to specify the drives for the 2 parts of BOINC, and a few other items. |

Between uninstall and reinstall, you'll have to copy the BOINC data directory (including all subdirectories) to the desired place, so that you don't lose your current work in progress and host IDs. Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. (Kleiner Scherz) ![]() |

BOINC used to do that for you. Must have been dumped during one of the 'improvements'. :( |

Wasn't that only when transitioning from BOINC version 5 to version 6? I'm not sure though. Gruß, Gundolf |

Yes, it's only used for transitioning from pre-6 to 6. |
