So I tried to install BOINC on a second computer. You can see it as computer ID #3356806. I did so successfully but only with BOINC version 6.6.38. I had a problem installing version 6.10.58 on it. It gave me -Error reading setup initialization file-. I deleted and attempted to install it three times. Does anyone have any advice on how to install the newest version of BOINC on my device? Am I missing out on anything by having this older version installed? Im not sure what information you might need to answer my questions. Ill be happy to provide any upon request.

No, we can't as we're not a project forums.

This error comes up when you have a corrupt installation file. Delete it, delete your temporary internet files and download BOINC again. Download it first, then start the install, do not attempt to install it directly while downloading it.
