I've participated in Seti@Home for years and it was rock-solid and never created a problem. I dutifully "upgraded" to BOINC when that move was made. Since then, however, I have experienced nothing but problems. There is no way to prevent the graphic from displaying as there was in Seti (if there is, it's hidden really well) but worse than that is that the program abends at least every other day.

Well, you could Uncheck the "make boinc the default screensaver" when you installed boinc. You can use add/remove programs to uninstall then reinstall picking a different option. You should lose NO work. Or you could go to the display part of the control panel and remove it from the list. If you want the screen saver you can adjust the seti specific preferences under "your account", do a project update, then change the command menu from "run always" to "run based upon preferences"

Define Abend with more details so I can make a suggestion.
