I installed BOINC Manager 6.10.58 under 64-bit Win7 on my Lenovo W500. The manager comes up but I cannot connect to my existing account on World Community Grid. Here are the steps I take: Click "Add project" Click "Attach to account manager" Enter "http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org" See message "Communicating with server" See page "Identify your account" enter username, password An error appears: "Failed to attach to account manager" An error has occurred; check Messages for details Click Finish to close Here are the relevant lines from the message output 7/26/2010 8:32:26 AM||Fetching configuration file from http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/get_project_config.php 7/26/2010 8:33:05 AM||Contacting account manager at http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ 7/26/2010 8:33:07 AM||Account manager error: file not found Any ideas? |

Do you use an account manager, like BAM! or Gridrepublic? Have you added WCG through there? Or are you just trying to attach to WCG? In that case use "Attach to project" instead of "Attach through account manager". What are account managers? |

Thank you. That was it. I had confused myself about project vs. account manager. I attached to the WCG project and now all is well. |
