[b]For about a year now I have been having issue with my system going into standby mode(Mac OS X 10.4.11). I can be typing a reply to an email or not doing anything and the system goes into power save mode. That is to say the disks spins down and the screen goes dark. It has taken me a more than 6 months to figure out the issue is BOINC. If I do not run BOINC the system works as it should. No activity the screen goes blank but the drives still spin. The system also does *NOT* do anything wrong as the minute I stop BOIC the issue disappears. I have tried several versions of BOIC and all do the same thing. Can someone tell me how to stop this from occurring? |

You don't have any error messages (in the logs) from your operating system or hardware about why it is spinning down? Which project or projects do you run? |
