I got the message (Ageless, Gundolf Jahn) not to babysit BOINC Manager too much and to abstain from micro-management. Still...

Tasks that were processed end with a small transfer logged as:

28/5/2010 10:02:30	World Community Grid	Started upload of X0000092410734200709241359_1_0
28/5/2010 10:02:36	World Community Grid	Finished upload of X0000092410734200709241359_1_0

I briefly see sth. in the transfers tab, but then they remain in the tasks forever as 'Ready to Report'.

- Manually Update on the Projects tab works;
- It seems to be so for both Einstein and WCG;
- As long as I don't do a manual Update, I don't get credits (so I do...)
- I've 12 tasks ready to report right now (since y'day evening I think)
- Prefs: Connect about every 0.10 days, always allowed etc.
- No known network issues; no suspect lines in the Messages or logs.

Any clue?
(Also see 'exited with zero status but no 'finished' file' every few days, so I have to micro-manage sometimes and reset the project. Don't know if that's related. No the case now, tough.]

Yes, Boinc is designed to upload work immediately and try to report multiple tasks at the same time to reduce load on the database.
from a JM7 post, reports occur

1) 24 hours before deadline
2) Connect every X before deadline.
3) Immediately on completion of upload if later than 1 or 2.
4) 24 hours after completion.
5) On a work request
6) On an account manager request.
7) On a trickle up request (CPDN only as far as I know).
8) On a trickle down request (none that I know about).
9) After a project specified time with no contact.
10) When the user hits the update button.

Despite the message displayed, it doesn't help at all if you reset the project. Better try to find the reason (system load, automatic system clock adjustment,...)
