ok you linux users.. i got a problem that looks so simple but i'm stuffed if i can work out what is not set.. tries to connect to localhost.. comes back unable to connect.. now i think it may be my firewall setting but this is my first linux box in 7 yrs and i've only played with mandrake 9.0 a little when it first came out.. I'm running mandriva 2006 with dsl connected via eth0.. I have not given my comp a name and only set eth0 to log to dsl not logon withit as its logged permanently.. any ideas would be great.. woman in stress here.. |

not sure if this is the answer you will need to run the boinc client first then you will need to run the boinc manager application on my system is ./run_client - for the boinc client ./boincmgr - for the manager -------------- ok you linux users.. i got a problem that looks so simple but i'm stuffed if i can work out what is not set.. |
