I want to use the same Boinc account under various users accounts on my PC some of the accounts are standard accounts and some are administrator. Do I have to install the software under each account separately? Thanks |

No, to install BOINC you need to use an administrator account. To run BOINC on anything else but the administrator account, check the option "Allow all users on this computer to control BOINC". That way they can start and stop BOINC Manager. |

I logged in as an adminitrator account, I uninstalled and then reinstalled the software and check the box "allow all users on this computer to manage the BOINC software" I do not have the option "Install as service" but rather another option that I don't check because it warns about other software not being able to use the GPS, I then finish the installation and start the program. and it finds the project files it was working on before the reinstallation. Then I reboot the computer and log in to my standard user account, but I get errors about Authorization faled connect to running client. |

Never mind... I did a repair reinstall of BOINC on the standard account, it found the project data and is working fine. |

How to install BOINC as a service (BOINC 6 series) on Windows? If you do not use Windows, do tell what OS you do use instead. |
