For each project, there is a statistics_*.xml file, with '*' denoting the project URL, in the BOINC data directory. Simply deleting (perhaps after backup:-) the offending files should cure the problem.

Wish I had your skills and/or confidence! I am incredibly leery of messing with the data directory. It seems every time I attempt what I consider to be advanced tasks such as that, one false keystroke or some other simple error causes catastrophic damage that I find difficult if not impossible to repair. Perhaps it's time to screw up my courage and give it a go. When you refer to performing an initial backup, do you mean a windows system restore checkpoint or another method? Thanks for your help. I am a literal computer novice. 95% of what limited skills I do possess have come from running BOINC.

I actually thought of copying the files to another directory before deleting them; a 'move' operation would do that in one step (drag&drop in windows explorer).

However, it's never a bad idea to do a complete backup of your BOINC data directory - or your whole system, if you have enough (external) storage capacity.

Gundolf

In the the Statistics Page of Boinc Manager, just click on the projects names (on the right hand sides of the page) you don't want displayed, clicking on them toggles select/de-select.
