Im running BOINC Manager 5.2.13 on RHEL3 and have problems with 'Web sites' and 'Help' buttons. Whenever i click on such a button a 'gedit' window is shown instead on the expected browser window. How is this application defined? I have already 'straced' boincmngr and looked for access to files with mimetypes but found nothing related. |

You have to set up the default browser. /usr/share/applications/redhat-web.desktop |

I changed in all these files mozilla to htmlview, but the result is still the same: All links are opened in gedit. From 'strace' I have a list of 696 files which are opened without error and the only file with lot of 'gedit' lines is /usr/share/mime-info/gnome-vfs.keys for text/* default_action_type=component short_list_component_iids=OAFIID:Nautilus_Text_View short_list_component_iids_for_novice_user_level=OAFIID:nautilus_text_view:fa466311-17c1-435c-8231-c9fc434b6437 short_list_component_iids_for_intermediate_user_level=OAFIID:nautilus_text_view:fa466311-17c1-435c-8231-c9fc434b6437 short_list_component_iids_for_advanced_user_level=OAFIID:nautilus_text_view:fa466311-17c1-435c-8231-c9fc434b6437 short_list_application_ids_for_novice_user_level=gedit,pico,openoffice short_list_application_ids_for_intermediate_user_level=xemacs,emacs,nedit,gedit,xfte,pico,openoffice short_list_application_ids_for_advanced_user_level=xemacs,gvim,emacs,vi,nedit,gedit,xfte,pico,openoffice category=Documents/Plain Text and: text/plain can_be_executable=TRUE description=plain text document short_list_application_ids_for_novice_user_level=gedit,pico,openoffice short_list_application_ids_for_intermediate_user_level=xemacs,emacs,nedit,gedit,xfte,pico,openoffice short_list_application_ids_for_advanced_user_level=xemacs,gvim,emacs,vi,nedit,gedit,xfte,pico,openoffice category=Documents/Plain Text but these lines looks ok to me. |
