What is the best way to do this? Right now I have two accounts, and when I'm logged onto my guest account, CPU usage goes to 100% because the admin account goes idle. How do I stop this from happening? Thanks in advance - I need to fix this if I'm to keep running BOINC on my main machine. Jack ![]() |

As long as you're not using the GPU for any calculations on Windows Vista or Windows 7, you can install BOINC as a service (protected application execution). |

Mind, if you run Windows XP, you can install as a service and still use the GPU. It's only Windows Vista and above that can't do this. |

I'm running windows 7... I think the best compromise is just to drop my projects that are using my GPU (its only 1 anyways, its ATI) and go CPU-only until this is fixed (I hope it is fixed some day). ![]() |
