I have been running SETI on my 9800 for a while now with no problems, but tonight I started using my onboard video as well as the 9800 because I am having troubles with the 9800 with a game I play. So I decided to use the onboard to play games and just keep the 9800 crunching WU's. Right now it is still crunching WU's, but it is quickly running out of tasks, and won't download anymore. I have tried a couple of different commands in the cc_config file, but honestly, I don't have a clue on what to do. I have read some posts and searched the web, but coming up short here. Any ideas? I am sure there is a fix, I just don't know it. 1/29/2010 6:12:53 PM Starting BOINC client version 6.10.29 for windows_x86_64 1/29/2010 6:12:53 PM log flags: file_xfer, sched_ops, task 1/29/2010 6:12:53 PM Libraries: libcurl/7.19.7 OpenSSL/0.9.8l zlib/1.2.3 1/29/2010 6:12:53 PM Data directory: C:\ProgramData\BOINC 1/29/2010 6:12:53 PM Running under account The Pad 1/29/2010 6:12:53 PM Processor: 4 AuthenticAMD AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 925 Processor [AMD64 Family 16 Model 4 Stepping 2] 1/29/2010 6:12:53 PM Processor: 512.00 KB cache 1/29/2010 6:12:53 PM Processor features: fpu tsc pae nx sse sse2 pni 3dnow mmx 1/29/2010 6:12:53 PM OS: Microsoft Windows 7: Home Premium x64 Edition, (06.01.7600.00) 1/29/2010 6:12:53 PM Memory: 1.50 GB physical, 3.00 GB virtual 1/29/2010 6:12:53 PM Disk: 292.87 GB total, 187.23 GB free 1/29/2010 6:12:53 PM Local time is UTC -6 hours 1/29/2010 6:12:56 PM NVIDIA GPU 0: GeForce 9800 GT (driver version 19581, CUDA version 3000, compute capability 1.1, 512MB, 308 GFLOPS peak) 1/29/2010 6:12:56 PM ATI GPU 0: ATI Radeon HD 2300/2400/3200 (RV610) (CAL version 1.4.427, 640MB, 40 GFLOPS peak) 1/29/2010 6:12:57 PM SETI@home Found app_info.xml; using anonymous platform 1/29/2010 6:12:59 PM Milkyway@home URL http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/; Computer ID 129725; resource share 100 1/29/2010 6:12:59 PM SETI@home URL http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/; Computer ID 5215934; resource share 200 1/29/2010 6:13:00 PM SETI@home General prefs: from SETI@home (last modified 08-Jan-2010 22:06:37) 1/29/2010 6:13:00 PM SETI@home Computer location: work 1/29/2010 6:13:00 PM General prefs: using separate prefs for work 1/29/2010 6:13:00 PM Reading preferences override file 1/29/2010 6:13:00 PM Preferences: 1/29/2010 6:13:00 PM max memory usage when active: 1074.62MB 1/29/2010 6:13:00 PM max memory usage when idle: 1458.42MB 1/29/2010 6:13:00 PM max disk usage: 0.50GB 1/29/2010 6:13:00 PM (to change, visit the web site of an attached project, 1/29/2010 6:13:00 PM or click on Preferences) 1/29/2010 6:13:00 PM Not using a proxy 1/29/2010 6:13:00 PM SETI@home Restarting task 02ja07ab.13381.16837.6.10.55_2 using setiathome_enhanced version 608 1/29/2010 6:13:01 PM SETI@home Restarting task 22fe07af.20177.1708.8.10.60_0 using setiathome_enhanced version 603 1/29/2010 6:13:02 PM SETI@home Restarting task 01ja07ae.18610.2117.4.10.138_1 using setiathome_enhanced version 603 1/29/2010 6:13:03 PM SETI@home Restarting task 01ja07ae.18610.2117.4.10.228_0 using setiathome_enhanced version 603 1/29/2010 6:13:03 PM SETI@home Restarting task 22fe07af.20177.2117.8.10.98_1 using setiathome_enhanced version 603 1/29/2010 6:13:03 PM SETI@home Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. 1/29/2010 6:13:03 PM SETI@home Requesting new tasks for GPU 1/29/2010 6:13:19 PM SETI@home Scheduler request failed: Couldn't resolve host name 1/29/2010 6:13:24 PM Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site 1/29/2010 6:13:38 PM BOINC can't access Internet - check network connection or proxy configuration. 1/29/2010 6:14:23 PM SETI@home Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. 1/29/2010 6:14:23 PM SETI@home Requesting new tasks for GPU 1/29/2010 6:14:25 PM SETI@home update requested by user 1/29/2010 6:14:34 PM SETI@home Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks 1/29/2010 6:14:34 PM SETI@home Message from server: No work sent 1/29/2010 6:17:49 PM SETI@home Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. 1/29/2010 6:17:49 PM SETI@home Requesting new tasks for GPU 1/29/2010 6:17:54 PM SETI@home Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks 1/29/2010 6:17:54 PM SETI@home Message from server: No work sent 1/29/2010 6:26:14 PM SETI@home Computation for task 02ja07ab.13381.16837.6.10.55_2 finished 1/29/2010 6:26:14 PM SETI@home Starting 21mr07af.21689.177468.15.10.244_1 1/29/2010 6:26:14 PM SETI@home Starting task 21mr07af.21689.177468.15.10.244_1 using setiathome_enhanced version 608 1/29/2010 6:26:17 PM SETI@home Started upload of 02ja07ab.13381.16837.6.10.55_2_0 1/29/2010 6:26:27 PM SETI@home Finished upload of 02ja07ab.13381.16837.6.10.55_2_0 |

Your computer is requesting gpu (enhanced version 608) work, which is Astropulse. If you look at the server status on the SETI web site, here, you'll see that there's plenty of cpu work, but no Astropulse (gpu) work. |

I'm pretty sure that 6.08 is MultiBeam (CUDA) AstroPulse would be 5.05 and the GPU version (ATI) is still in beta, IIRC. Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. (Kleiner Scherz) ![]() |

Ok, well thanks for the "tip". I feel like an idiot. It was just a coincidence that I did the setup, and SETI ran outa WU's at the same time. So yeah.... Hows the weather out there? Oh look...... *points and runs* See ya...... |
