Hi people! I'm new to Linux, so I'm getting problems as expected... I installed BOINC and run ./boincmgr from BOINC directory; I get "Connection Failed", not surprising because I'm behind a proxy. I go to Options and put proxy's IP and port, exit boincmgr and run it again. I get "Connection Failed", so I check connection setting and see that it doesn't keep proxy settings. So proxy settings are never saved. I tried changing setting both as user and as root, but in doesnt' work. Any ideas? My distribution is Mandriva 2005 LE. Thanks in advance. |

seems that u will have to start ./boinc -redirectio & first and then enter somethinhg like ./boinc_cmd --set_proxy_settings 192.168.0.1:3128 or wheater ip is u proxy :port *no provision to user/password ay least until 5.2.12 ps: use ./boinc -help to command line options that can be used while starting boinc and ./boinc_cmd --help to additional commands u can do in line mode (after boinc is running_ Click signature for team stats |
