Hello,

I recently bought a new PC and installed BOINC (running seti@home). It was running fine for a week or so with my older configuration (been with Seti@home for many years). However, last night I noticed that only one task was running (used to be 4 - Quad-processors). Today, nothing is running, but one seems to run when I am away from the PC for a while.

So, has something changed? Shouldn't the pending tasks be run even when Seti@home is down (I think they used to)? Any suggestions to get all 4 running again?

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks!
Jack

Were you running an older version of BOINC before?

There are new settings for the later versions, which can be adjusted on your project prefs, and also in the prefs in the menu of your manager. (gui)
Before, the number of processors was a number. Now it's a percentage, to allow for the increasing number of processors on a chip.

And check that in your Computing preferences "Suspend work while computer is in use?" is set to "no."
