The developers are really following this thread... through email to me. ;-) Are they allergic to /dev/forum_reply.php? |

LOL, will do. Glad you got it fixed. Hope it stays that way! Well, it didn't. A few days later, Kaspersky is up to it's old tricks again :-( So, I am running mostly simple view now. I notice however, that the language setting appears to get lost when switching between advanced and simple... No big deal, but something the devs might wanna have a look at. |

Patch a.b. (for version 9.0.0.736) got pushed from Kaspersky at some point over the last week. For the time being, the problem seems resolved. Can anyone confirm? edit: minimized (advanced view), boinc manager seems to eat about 1% of my CPU every 5 or 6 seconds. This is much better than the complete core that it was taking up before, but still signficantly more than simple view. |

1% every few seconds when minimized to tray. Actually, CPU usage doesn't seem to vary whether the manager window is fully open, minimized, or minimized to tray. |

I can confirm that patch a.b. got rid of this issue (and indeed, still have 1% cpu every few seconds, but that's a lot better than before). I will run traces to see what boincmgr is up to now when using CPU. Since I've been running in simple mode for the past few days, I noticed boincmgr, when minimized to tray, "stealing focus" from my other programs (browser, development stuff, etc). Will keep an eye on this now that I'm back to advanced view. |
