Is there an option somewhere, to receive an e-mail saying that there is a new version of BONIC available? John F. |

The BOINC client will tell you that a newer version is available. It'll do this at scheduler contacts to the projects and shows in the messages. |

Just by chance, I logged into Version History and noticed that the latest version is 6.10.18, I have 6.10.17 installed. Though I have subscribed to Change Detection, the latest e-mail does not show the version update. Or do I have to set this option elsewhere? John F. |

Just by chance, I logged into Version History and noticed that the latest version is 6.10.18, I have 6.10.17 installed. Notification is done through the messages of the Boinc manager (it can easily be missed) and occur approximately a week after becoming the recommended version. I think it is set to notify manually by the developers. Nothing for you to do. You could subscribe to the 'BOINC 6.1 to 6.10 Versions Change Log' thread in the 'BOINC core client' board. Set your Boinc Community preferences to receive mail. You will receive mail for all log updates of versions being tested not just the recommended versions.
