Aquq@home keeps detaching regularly from boinc localhost ver 6.6.36 and 6.10.17. I don't know what to do? And it does so 3/4 of the way through a wu. No other projects do this. Help..... |

Are you using an account manager like BAM! or GridRepublic? If so, do you attach to Aqua using that or using BOINC manager? Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. (Kleiner Scherz) ![]() |

I have an account with Bam but I am not using it. I am attaching with boinc. One thing to note is that the files under the project folder are still there. |

Since no other projects do this, I'd assume it's something that the Aqua project then does. Have you asked at their forums what could cause this? Perhaps their multi-tasking application? |

I have Aqua running on 2 other machines without a problem. |

Which says nothing. Are all three machines exactly the same? OS, RAM, amount of CPUs/cores? Updates, drivers, GPUs, hard drives? All attached to all the same projects, all running exactly the same work? You've seen it happen on two BOINC versions on this one machine only. Why must it be BOINC's fault then? It could be the project's application, a faulty hard drive, flaky RAM, someone else in your household who doesn't like this project... (oh and some 20+ other causes that I can come up with, but that you won't be interested in). |

I have an account with Bam but I am not using it. I am attaching with boinc. That might be the problem. Is that host still connecting to BAM!? If so, it would explain the detaching. You can verify it by looking for the menu entry "Advanced->Stop using BOINCStats/BAM!..." Gruß, Gundolf |
