What is the update on getting a boinc manager for the newer ATI GPU's? I hope there will be more projects for the ATI GPU's. Lots of people can't afford to pay more for the 285 GTX and the 295 GTX series.

BOINC 6.10 will become mainstream soon. In any case, after the BOINC Workshop 2009.

I tried the 6.10.14 version and a optimized application from Collatz Conjecture. I am using the version 2.06 ( collatt_2.06_Win32_ATI.zip ) and boinc beta 6.10.14. With those applications, My 4890 OC video card is running in GPU however once a while, the 4890 OC driver software would crash and reset itself. I am using the 9.10 drivers and the forum at Collatz Conjecture said that I should use the 8.12 drivers. Will have to try that older driver version and test it out. Using Catalyst 8.12 drivers, I will have to use the collatt_2.06_Win32_AMD.zip version. Still no optimized applications for SETI@home yet.

I tried the 6.10.14 version

BOINC 6.10.16 has a fix for crashing drivers and reinitializing the GPU.

Still no optimized applications for SETI@home yet.

No normal ATI apps there either. With no FTTW library for ATI GPUs available, I wouldn't hold my hopes up that they come quickly either. And then there's the problem that if you try to port the Seti source code to ATI Stream SDK, that it can't be done one on one. The Seti source code consists of pre-built vcproj files, which cannot easily be linked to the ATI Stream SDK.
