Hi, since 2 days BOINC Manager on one of my hosts is failing to download .exe files form most (but not all) of the projects (I'm attached to almost every BOINC-project). The error message I got is like: 05/10/2009 15.05.08 Cosmology@Home Finished download of camb_2.16_windows_intelx86.exe I tried uninstalling/reinstalling BOINC, deleting the data directory and every reference to BOINC but id didn't work. What could I try? Thanks darkpella |

That seems to happen at Cosmology from time to time. Do an advanced search for "Signature verification" (without the quotes) over 6 months. Did you already ask at the Cosmology boards? Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. (Kleiner Scherz) ![]() |

If it happens at almost all the projects you are attached to, I'd check the disk drive that the BOINC Data directory is installed on. You may have a corruption going on on there. Use the Windows "chkdsk /f" command from a command line and if asked, reboot the system, then let the disk checker check the drive. If the BOINC Data directory is on another partition than C:, you can tell through "chkdsk e: /f" to check a different drive/partition. In the example, e: would be the drive BOINC has its Data directory on. Ultimately you can try installing BOINC to a different directory/partition/drive to see if that fixes it. |
