hi! how do i disable autostart in Linux? my CPU cooler is very weak and in summer my CPU becomes to hot causing it to make that annoying "your-cpu-is-to-hot" speaker alarm... Ubuntu 9.04 |

sudo apt-get install boinc-client boinc-manager |

bootup-manager displays the service and allows me to stop it. however when i start boinc-manager it (obviously) gets no connection to the clients allowing me to resume them. alright, it seems what i really want is to have the boinc service be started "paused". |

That should be accomplished by selecting "Suspend" from BOINC manager's Activity menu (in advanced view). Don't "Snooze", because that only lasts one hour. Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. (Kleiner Scherz) |
