Even after total shutdown of PC, upon booting, a message comes up saying you must reboot your pc to run Boinc <-- the same msg. every time I try starting Boinc Manager (after multiple reboots/shutdown-for-minutes, etc.)

Vista 64
Quad Core / 8GB RAM
Dual NVidia GeForce 9800 GTX+'s / SLI

I tried admin priviledges.

Go to your BOINC directory and delete the RebootPending.txt file.

(Not sure if it's in your BOINC binary or BOINC Data directory).

Did you report that to the developers? If not, why not, how else will they know about it?

It happens on a relatively small number of machines, but as far as I know it's a permissions problem that the present installer has. 6.10 should come with a new installer (not the Windows installer), which should do this better.
