Divmontru Send message Joined: 18 Jul 09 Posts: 14	Message 26086 - Posted: 18 Jul 2009, 6:23:00 UTC Last modified: 18 Jul 2009, 6:24:51 UTC Even after total shutdown of PC, upon booting, a message comes up saying you must reboot your pc to run Boinc <-- the same msg. every time I try starting Boinc Manager (after multiple reboots/shutdown-for-minutes, etc.) Vista 64 Quad Core / 8GB RAM Dual NVidia GeForce 9800 GTX+'s / SLI I tried admin priviledges. (Not sure if it's in your BOINC binary or BOINC Data directory). ID: 26087 ·

If not, why not, how else will they know about it? It happens on a relatively small number of machines, but as far as I know it's a permissions problem that the present installer has. 6.10 should come with a new installer (not the Windows installer), which should do this better.
