Hello, I used SETI for 3 years or so. 2 weeks ago I installed BOINC and I have the most current version installed. I have some major issue with BOINC. Everytime I start the computer BOINC Manager starts, goes minimized (not to the tray icon! just minimized like normal window). And stucks there. To get rid of it I need to kill the program and start it again and then everything is OK. What should I do? It's annoying! Thanks |

Try adding /s to the Boinc Manager startup line. It'll be in the Windows startUp folder, edit the properties, target line so it shows \\BOINC\\Boincmgr.exe" /s Including the space. This must start BM minimized, preferably in the system tray. Else try to repair BOINC, by starting the installer again. Then after you installed BOINC, shut down the PC. Only then start it up and see what it does. |

I have similar problem on my notebook. BOINC stay minimized, but there is icon even in tray. If you are in the same situation, as temporary solution try to open BOINC from tray icon and then close Manager window. After this minimized BOINC disappear. You don't need to kill BOINC using Task Manager. |

Same problem here. When this happens opening the BOINC Manager and then closing again does the trick. |
