The new setup says: Rules for passwords: * passwords are case-sensitive * min password length is a project config item; max password length is 32. * may use any ASCII characters 32..126 (this includes space and all punctuation, but no control chars). Passwords with capitals in them will not be recognised after they've been set. Filling in the password with only lower case characters works. So RSRsRF890 set as password will not be recognised. Only rsrsrf890 will be accepted. ID: 13 ·

For anyone reading this that may not have been following the other channels, it was a bug. From checkin_notes: David 30 Aug 2005 - passwords were being lower-cased.
