I'm trying to setup boinc to run with the seti@home project. This is the first time I've setup boinc using this computer. And it's been 3 or 4 years since I've used boinc at all.

When I use the "Add Project" screens to add seti@home, I get this error: "Failed to attach to project"

Here is the message it tells me to look at:

This is the BOINC help desk, not the SETI site.

On the SETI@ home site, it says on the front page:
Weekly Outage
Every Tuesday morning (Pacific time) we have a 3-4 hour outage for database maintenance. The upload/download servers and some web pages are offline during this time.

And today is Tuesday there, so perhaps that part of the site is/was done when you tried to attach.

Thank you. I didn't realize there was a difference. I understand now and seti is working.

Thanks.
