I re-installed my windows xp yesterday.

Before re-installation,I backup BOINC_Data directory.
Then restored it after re-installation.

I found boinc can't find my task and request tasks again!

After looking for the information on the website,I found BOINC identify my NEW WinXP instance as ANOTHER new computer!!

Why?

Does BOINC identify computers just by the os-instance?

That isn't a good idea!
