I right click on the BOINC icon in the system tray and hit exit. I check the line that asks me if I want to close all science applications that are currently running and close it.

The applications are still running in my Task manager. If I wait for a moment, they start processing again.

Snooze isn't quite long enough, and I don't want to manually set all 5 projects to suspend every time. Likewise I don't want to have to close the program, then kill off the processes individually.

Am I missing something? I don't think I've changed any of the default settings (for once), and I am using BOINCStats BAM.

Projects are Rosetta, LHC, Milkyway, SETI and Enigma. The ones currently doing it are Milkyway and Enigma. I'm not 100% sure that the others are doing it, but I presume so. I would check, but they aren't obtaining any new work units now.

OS is 32 bit Vista, Processor is 64-bit 3.0 GHz DC. I have an nVidia 9800GTX, but as far as I can tell, BOINC isn't using it (and if it is, I don't want it to!)

I run BOINC on 2 computers. I'm nearly at the point of just removing it from this one and just going on the one PC.

Help?

What happens when you select Shut down connected client... from the Advanced menu? (I hope it still exists in 6.x :-)

What happens when you select Suspend from the Activity menu? (dito)

Oh, thanks. I somehow missed the Activity menu while try to figure it out. That will be good enough for me, then.

Shutting down the core client acts how I'd expect it to as well.

Thanks,
Daz
