I have an issue with 6.4.5. I have no CUDA (it runs as a service). 8 CPU's I have BOINC use 6 maximum. I had two projects running, and both ran 3 WU's simultaneously. So far, so good. But now I want to switch projects, so I have one of the projects set to "no new work". When a WU for that project is finished, it does not get new work (as it should), but the other project stays on 3 WU's as well. So I currently have only 4 CPU's occupied instead of 6, I wonder what will happen if the last WU of the "no new work" project will finish. Another (non-related) issue : If I set a machine to crunch from 18:00 to 08:00 it (sometimes?) only runs from 18:00 to midnight and idles the rest of the alotted time. 6.4.5. seems a little lazy :-) |

It's a known issue. The scheduler is being rewritten right now. My suggestion is to go back to 6.2 if you don't need CUDA. Kathryn :o) |

Thanks for the quick reply, could not find the answer in the forum (my search skills....). I currently run a single project, and that seems to work. If I go to multiple projects again, I will keep the fallback to 6.2 in mind. |
