Not sure if this is a network problem, and old "BM" or a real bug. I made a VPN connection to a computer at work and attempted to change the %95 cpu utilization to %100. I did this by using the "Select Computer" option and put in the IP of the remote system. Local system: 6.4.2 no CUDA Remote system: 6.6.0 has CUDA device I tried 3 times setting the percent to 100 and it never took. I then brought up a VNC connection (over VPN of course) to the remote system. I brought up 6.6.0 and changed the 95 to 100 and that fixed the problem. Why didnt 6.4.2 set the percent utilization? Is it too far back a program? BTW, the einstein people have a problem with checkpointing and have advised everyone to set %cpu utilization to 100 so that the number of checkpoints is as low as possible if not 0. |

This seems to be a bug. I tried the same thing from a 6.6.0 to another 6.6.0 and was unable to set the cpu utilization remotely using the "Select Computer" So I guess the following means that only the local computer can be set? |
