I obtain 6.4.5 from the src repository, but cannot build it without wxwidgets. OK that is available on the web, but where do I put it, what options to set so it gets built with win_build, etc. I would have expected that the wxwidgets would get pulled in as a 3rd party component when I checked out the source. I am interested in building boincmgr and stepping thru some code to debug a problem that has got my interest up. This ticket was written up two years ago but not implemented. |

Does this help? Scroll down to the Windows part. Disclaimer: I never got BOINC to build on Windows. wxWidgets, yes, but not BOINC. Kathryn :o) |

Does this help? I was able to build and step thru boincmgr (boincmgr_curl.exe) which allowed me to investigate a bug that interests me. There seems to be some problem with the latest Windows 6.1 SDK and Visual Studio 2008: I cannot build libboinc.lib due to lphlpapi.h having undeclared identifiers. That precludes boinc from being built, at least for me. It (libboinc) was not needed for boincmgr, but I would be interesting in building boinc also. How far did you get on building boinc with VS2008? Did you use the 6.1sdk? |

How far did you get on building boinc with VS2008? Did you use the 6.1sdk? Last time I tried on Windows was last summer, and I think it was on VS 2005 express. Jord has build it successfully and more recently than my last try. I have a cron job that builds it nightly on Linux, although I think it's failed the last few nights. Sorry I can't be more help. I built 5.10 successfully, never managed to build 6.x successfully. Then again, I haven't tried lately and really should reinstall everything necessary and try again. |

Builds fine, but the current work fetch code doesn't quite run right, give Dr. Anderson a few more days. |
