Hi ,

I have got an odd problem, I am running BOINC 6.4.5 on a windows 2008 x64 server. I plugged in a 8800GTX to use CUDA on seti. The msg log in BOINC says the card has been detected. But whenever BOINC downloads the client, it will download the CPU only client , not the CUDA. I installed the latest nvidia drivers to support CUDA on BOINC (1.80). I have several other systems on which it works fine under vista ultimate x64. Can I force the download of the CUDA enabled client ?? I also tried the 6.5.0. beta with the same result.

Regards

Ronald

We're not the Seti forums, but the BOINC forums. Since BOINC detects your CUDA card correctly, as far as BOINC is concerned, nothing is wrong.

Although you may make sure you didn't install as a service (Protected Application Execution) as that will go awry on Vista systems + CUDA and it may go wrong on server version of Windows.

Other than that, ask about download specific problems in the Seti CUDA forum.

Hi Ageless,

Thanks for your reply. I will try my luck on the SETI forum. Sorry about the post.
