Message 21971 - Posted: 21 Dec 2008, 15:17:36 UTC

I updated to 6.4.2 the other day on a Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6700 @ 2.66GHz running Vista Ultimate 64. Tasks seem to report much slower and now several projects are not updating on their own. I ran update and all unreported projects reported, but no new tasks were scheduled. Even resetting the projects doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions?

There is a bug in the client that will prevent it from asking enough work. The developers knew about it but released the client anyway.

It won't come that far that you'll actually totally run out of work, although it is possible that on multi-processor systems one or more CPUs go idle.

Thanks for the info. I had two idle processors when I originally posted. After updating to 6.4.5 it seems like there is plenty of work.
