I use BOINC 6.2.19 and when i click on Graphics available for malariacontrol project, nothing run visualy and in processes i also cant find anything :P The problem is, something is obviously running since i cant use graphic mode for other project. How to stop that graphic mode that is supposed to be running? |

Not all projects have graphics/a screen saver. Only a handful of them do. So it depends on which other project you're trying to show the graphics of. BOINC will also only show the graphics of the running task. Any task that's in Waiting to run or Ready to start mode won't show graphics. Not all projects use the separate graphics application yet. Some out there still use the graphics application included in the science application. So the only way to stop any graphics that are then possibly still running is to exit BOINC and restart it. When BOINC 6 runs as a service, it won't show the graphics of the 'old style' applications, it will only do the new separate ones. And then it depends highly on your video card and its drivers if BOINC can even start to show the graphics. They're OpenGL and although most cards and embedded video chips can do OpenGL these days, the drivers that are installed by default (by Windows) will not support OpenGL. Only by updating your drivers made by the manufacturer of the video card or chip, can you unleash the OpenGL support. |

Restart of BOINC help. Now "Graphics Available" option is not available for malariacontrol project. So i can't make funny demands anymore :P Look like it was because of just added project and restart fix its status. Thanks for reply. |
