Hey guys,

Yesterday I've updated all the packages on my system to the latest version and my boinc stopped working immediately after. The client doesn't load, no error messages. I've been using the Berkley binaries. Could someone help me diagnose the problem.

Thanks.

This is what I get using ldd:

linux-gate.so.1 => (0xffffe000)
libnsl.so.1 => /lib/libnsl.so.1 (0xb800f000)
libdl.so.2 => /lib/libdl.so.2 (0xb800b000)
libz.so.1 => /lib/libz.so.1 (0xb7ff7000)
libstdc++.so.6 => /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6 (0xb7f07000)
libpthread.so.0 => /lib/libpthread.so.0 (0xb7eef000)
libm.so.6 => /lib/libm.so.6 (0xb7ec9000)
libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0xb7d85000)
/lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0xb803f000)
libgcc_s.so.1 => /lib/libgcc_s.so.1 (0xb7d77000)

I'm using the latest Berkley binaries. The article you linked says there's a package in the suse repository, but I was unable to find it so I wonder. There's a third-party build for suse that I've tried (http://www.rechenaugust.de/boinc) but it behaves the same way.

I couldn't make it work yet and I gave up on it for now. Just hoping it will fix itself after the next system update. If not I'll consider another distro. Thanks.
