the boinc application is not responding in my OSX.

then, the projects running (e.g. rossetta@home) are taking 100% of the cpu time while i am using the computer (the computer is not idle).

(which is very bad)


what can be the problem?

a) Which BOINC version?
b) What are your preferences settings for "Do work when computer is idle" in your web based preferences?
c) Do you use the local advanced preferences? (BOINC 5.8.16 and above, recognizable by the global_prefs_override.xml file in your BOINC, resp. BOINC Data directory)
d) Could you post your startup messages, please?

e) Which option is selected under 'Activity', advanced view - "Run always", or "Run based on preferences"?
