I have a couple of 280 hr jobs with plenty of time but wondered if I could dedicate one or two processors from the quad to take up the extra work? If there is an answer and its really technical - be gentle. :<)

CPU affinity is not used in BOINC. It is used by some 3rd party versions of BOINC and possibly by BOINC View. So no, you can't set a task per CPU, unless you suspend all other tasks/projects you have/are attached to.

CPU affinity will be integrated to BOINC 6.x or 7.x.x official ?

For the quad or octo CPU as Nehalem, for to do to work a wu or a project on one core, not on 4 or 8 cores. The projects are not optimised for work on 8 cores.

ps: i'm french
