I get the Message Boinc failed to to disconnected from the Internet. The spelling is Boinc's not mine. Once this error occours it repeats faster than I can keep with it, resulting with me having to use task manager to abort BOINC as the program will not respond. I have updated to .13 from .8 The problem occours with both versions. I seem to be getting work and returning results but I have to step in quite often to get things back going correctly

The same problem only occurs on my home network with my laptop; it does not happed on my work network with the same laptop. I am running Win 2K pro. My home desktop (win98), my print server (laptop with win98) and my spouses desktop (xp) do not exhibit this behavior. The error windows are created so quickly that it sounds like a single odd phone ring.

the problem may be associated with the following messages:
12/13/2005 8:57:00 PM|climateprediction.net|Result sulphur_fylk_000744680_0 exited with zero status but no 'finished' file
12/13/2005 8:57:00 PM|climateprediction.net|If this happens repeatedly you may need to reset the project.
12/13/2005 8:57:00 PM||request_reschedule_cpus: process exited
12/13/2005 8:57:00 PM|climateprediction.net|Restarting result sulphur_fylk_000744680_0 using sulphur_cycle version 422

Once the error windows are cleared, the project seems to function normally.

If you are not on dialup, in BOINC Manager, under Options/Connections, tell it "Use my LAN" rather than "automatically detect". It sounds like BOINC thinks you have a dialup connection when you don't.
