Have you downloaded and installed the latest version?

We can probably solve just about any problem you have, but we need information in able to be able to do so. If you want to ask one question at a time, providing details on what you have tried and what happened, we'll get you running shortly!

Plus this is best posted on the Seti Q&A forums.

For the disconnected problem, is this BOINC claiming "Connection failed" or is it Localhost is disconnected?

At least try the latest BOINC version for Windows 5.2.11:

* Fix: Do not launch the wizards until after a connection to the core client has been established.
* Win: Fixes a BOINC Manager connection issue when the manager is waiting on a firewall for the all clear. This generally happens after a reboot.
* Win: Fixes the 'connection failed' message when another program is using the BOINC communication port.
