Is there anything special I need to know in transfering my BOINC installation from Windows to Linux?

I see that there are FAQs on running BOINC on Linux, so that part of it is probably covered. I'm just wondering about the transition.

I'm presently using Win XP and I'm planning to switch to Fedora.

You mean, you want to move with existing work in the wueue from one OS to the other? That is not possible in BOINC.

Any work you still have at this moment must be either run or aborted, uploaded, then reported, before you go from one OS to the other, as the work itself is registered to the hostID that you have at this moment. That hostID will change when you change from one OS to the next.

Thanks. That's all I need to know about that, then. :)
