"Boinc Manager is unable to connect to a Boinc Client"
Every time Windows automatic update runs I get this error message. Restoring the system gets rid of it. The updates are:
Security Update for WindowsXP KB941644 & KB943485 and
Windows Malicious Software Removal Kit - Jan 2008 KB90830.
Please help me workaround this.

Tried again today (for fourth or fifth time) to run the Windows Updates. Did each one individually and bar having to restart after the first update due to Boinc error everything worked ok. Boinc manager is now connecting ok...

I exit from BOINC before I do my Windows updates manually but I don't know whether this precaution is really necessary. I'm afraid the computer might restart itself with BOINC running, which isn't a good idea.

I never have BOINC problems when installing updates. But I have updates set to *manual*, not to "install updates automatically and then bug me to death to reboot, or reboot without me even noticing".
