Thread 'Connection failure'

After two days of installing and uninstalling I have it almost working. After a boot, at startup, I get a connection failure. The GUI displays, but no projects or anything shows. I have to close the window and restart the manager. Then everything appears to work fine. What do I do to get it to start on startup? I am running Windows XP Home and SP2. The problem is that BOINC Manager is launching before boinc.exe (the daemon) gets running. Two possible fixes - first, there is a new (as in the last 20 minutes...) version of BOINC, V5.2.9, that hopefully solves this problem. Second, is to somehow "delay" the Manager's launch for a bit after startup. I'm a Mac guy, so I can't tell you how to do that... ID: 1135 ·
