Many people have suggested the creation of an 'auto-shutdown on checkpoints' add-on. What if I'm in the computer browsing the net, reading the news and maybe listening to music while waiting for the next checkpoint to shutdown the PC and go to bed [my father doesn't like to leave PCs on at night - that's why we have to turn them off]? With a checkpoint alarm, I wouldn't be surprised of an automatic shutdown and I could finish reading the last news that I was reading before the checkpoint! Note: it would also be usefull that this same add-on paused the BOINC running tasks until next boot, so as to speed the shutdown process. What do you think? |

Many people have suggested the creation of an 'auto-shutdown on checkpoints' add-on. If notification on a checkpoint was possible, it would be only a tiny step more to make it automatically shutdown too. |

Many people have suggested the creation of an 'auto-shutdown on checkpoints' add-on. I don't know that feature, but from what I understand, it doesn't work for me, because with dual-boot, sleep and standby don't work. |
