Hi,
we think to run Boinc in our servers, from our webfarm in Italy, but first i'd like to know if Boinc software got problems if someone connect to the server via Microsoft Terminal Service.

I mean: did Boinc replicate the works if i connect to the server ?!?!

Cause we got this problems years ago with seti@home included in google toolbar...

Thanks.

SETI was never included in Google Toolbar. It was Folding@Home, which uses a system totally different from BOINC.

What are you asking exactly?

1. That people from a Terminal can make a BOINC account, install & run the program? (answer: not unless they have administrative rights)

2. That you run BOINC on the server and that people can see it running, through their terminals? (answer: not unless they have administrative rights)

3. That BOINC may slow down the server? (answer: possible, but then setup BOINC to only run outside office hours)

Or something else? Please elaborate.

Thankyou but my question was...
we install Boinc on a webserver ( that is online 24h per day ) like admin with the 50% of processor usage,
than we use connect to this machine via terminal for maintenance.

When we will connetc via terminal like admin, will Boinc duplicate its works ??
( in this case 50% plus 50% will be 100% )

Thankyou.

BOINC will never run twice. (And if it did, it wouldn't just compute twice, it would corrupt its files horribly.)
