Trying to upgrade from 5.2.7. I'm getting the following error message during install:
"The feature that you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package BOINC.msi in the box below."

Did a search and found the missing file in folder C:\\WINDOWS\\Downloaded Installations\\{5AF1D19F-9DA3-4176-9962-6F964989EE57}. Using Browse to navigate there, click OK, then I get the following message pop-up:
"The file 'C:\\WINDOWS\\Downloaded Installations\\{5AF1D19F-9DA3-4176-9962-6F964989EE57}\\BOINC.msi' is not a valid installation package for the product BOINC. Try to find the installation package 'BOINC.msi' in a folder from which you can install BOINC."

Never had any difficulties with BOINC before; what's going on? (Or rather, how do I get around this error?)

Reinstall the old version, uninstall using the installer package rather than add/remove programs. This should get things cleaned up so that you can install the new version.
