I'm having some trouble here I think.

My BOINC agent has downloaded several projects to work on, and 2 of them are already finished. Those 2 have a status saying: Ready to report.

Isn't it supposed to report it automaticly, or do I have to do it myself?
In that case, how do I do it?

It'll report it automatically.

Results will be reported automatically at the following triggers:

1. New work is needed. Completed work will be reported at the same time.
2. The Deadline is less than 24 hours away.
3. The Result has been in the Ready to Report status longer than the Work Buffer setting.
4. The Result is less than the Work Buffer setting from it's Deadline (New for v5.4.xx)

Plus some other triggers, but I have to look them up.

You can report results at any time by selecting the Project and pressing Update.

When I select the project and press update, it says Status: Communication deferred xx:xx:xx (countdown timer)

What's causing this? Is my agent having trouble uploading the results?

Edit: When I pressed Update the two tasks labeled "Ready to report" dissappeared from the Tasks list. But still, it says under project status: communication deffered?

3. The Result has been in the Ready to Report status longer than the Work Buffer setting.

#3 is deprecated in v5.10.14, instead you'll have new rule of reporting after 24 hours.

There's also a rule about "net_status.have_sporadic_connection", but I'm unsure if this is only for dialup-users or...

To not over-burden the Server with connections, there's always a small delay, normally between a couple seconds and 10 minutes, before client is allowed to connect again. The client will display this deferral, even there's no current problems and even if there's no current reason a new connection is needed.

You're running WCG, right?
If so, it's called "Connect to network about every N days", and is under Device Manager/profiles

Yes, mine is configured to be able to connect to network whenever it wants, I think.
