For a long time, I've been thinking that a BOINC voice announcer widget would be a cool add-on. Whenever something important happens in the BOINC manager for any project, a voice would announce it over the computer's speakers. For example: "SETI at home: {downloading | starting | stopping | resuming | completing | uploading | reporting | aborting} work unit".

Since we're usually not looking at the BOINC UI, we could hear what's going on.

I'm not a developer so I'm throwing this suggestion out to the community. Are there any developers interested in building this?

If this is done, please make it an option as it could become very annoying in large areas of computers, or there are many projects running (43 on my computers).
