I just downloaded the newest BOINC version (5.10.7) on my brand spanking new Windows XP computer and am unable to connect to any project or any manager. I use BAM at home already. I had this same trouble with my old computer here at work and finally gave up. I was never able to find enough information on these boards to help me. I *think* that my problem is the firewall here at work. What I need is the exact information that I need to tell my IT department (my brother) so that I can poke through our firewall. We use a HTTP proxy, and I already put that information in, but it didn't help. Any and all information (ports, etc) that you can provide would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks in advance |

boinc.exe needs internet access on ports 80 and 443 and local access (127.0.0.1) on ports 31416. boincmgr.exe, boinccmd.exe and boinc.scr need local access on ports 31416. |
